makes about 3/4 cup

Game Changer

The chipotle chili powder can be omitted. Substitute chili powder & a smidgen of ground red pepper in a pinch.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp prepared horseradish
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chipotle powder
1/4 tsp Worcestershire
Freshly ground pepper 

Stir together the first 6 ingredients in a small bowl. Season with pepper.

The Extra Point

Serve with fried chicken strips, fried catfish or fried shrimp & use as a tasty sandwich spread.

How To Zest Fresh Citrus

A little lemon zest is a wonderful way to add fresh notes to quick sauces.
Pep up a variety of your favorite foods with this easy technique.

The Technique

Hold the microplane grater over a cutting board, allowing the tip to rest over the surface at an angle. Swipe just the outer portion of the citrus over the tool towards the board. Turn the fruit after each swipe. You only want to collect zest with color & not the white, bitter pith just underneath the surface. Repeat the process until you have collected the amount you’d like to add to the recipe.
