makes about 1/2 cup

1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chopped fresh oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 garlic cloves, pressed

Stir together all of the ingredients. Use as directed.

How To Use Tex-Mex Steak Seasoning

Custom spice blends are some of the easiest ways to flavor a variety of meat cuts that are ideal for grilling & smoking cooking applications. Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Place the meat cut on a cutting board. Coat the item with the spice blend pressing over all surfaces to cover well. Let stand 20 minutes at room temperature before grilling or chill up to 4 hours. Grill or smoke the meat according to specific recipe instruction.
