T-Bone Steak

T-Bone Steaks are a mid-level priced beef cut that may be enjoyed with an array of delicious sides ranging from salads such as Buttermilk-Blue Cheese Wedge Salad or a Caesar Salad to russet potato dishes including Crispy Baked Potato Wedges, Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes, Cheddar-Parmesan Twice Baked Potatoes & Classic Potato Gratin. T-Bone Steaks are taken from the loin primal region along with the Porterhouse however it’s a little smaller in comparison. It’s a tender & flavorful piece of beef that gets it’s name from the T-shaped lumbar vertebra within the cut. In order for beef cuts to cook properly, remove T-Bone Steaks from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before you plan to sear, grill or broil them. They may be seasoned at this time. It should be noted that seasonings may determine the right heat intensity. Allow individual recipes to guide you in choosing either a Medium or Medium-High setting. Next, the desired degree of doneness must also be decided upon. Approximately 2 to 3 minutes of cooking on each side of the steaks with a 1-inch thickness will generally produce a medium-rare result.
