How To Plant & Care For Daffodils
Beautiful flower arrangements should change with the seasons so begin by choosing items currently in bloom. Creating arrangements to use for holiday entertaining need not be complex & with a few pointers they may be quick to make. Daffodils offer a lovely seasonal look when winter celebrations are in order.
The Technique
Daffodil bulbs may be found from garden centers in the late summer & early fall months, the time of the year they are best planted. They make a lovely selection to showcase in vast sweeps for a burst of bright, cheery color come springtime. Daffodils grow well when planted about 6 to 12-inches beneath the soil. Once they bloom, deadhead flowers after they fade however allow the green portion of the plant to die off on its own. This will allow th plants to gain valuable nutrients & bloom again the following year. Daffodils make lovely cut flowers & since they are incredibly showy, just a few can create an impact. Slip them into tall glass vases & place them throughout indoor spaces for a beautiful burst of sunshine.
