The Easter Egg Cookie Place Setting
Planning a beautiful Easter lunch is much easier than you may think & handcrafting several key elements will not only offer a festive look but a little personal style as well. Easter cookies have long been a classic dessert to showcase for Spring gatherings & they may be featured a number of ways. Iced, decorated cookies make a lovely focal point in Easter baskets for children as well as a fun baking project they can help create. This same thought may be used to make edible place settings for a beautiful Easter table. Any design may be used on the cookies from squiggly or dot patterns to highlighting the name of guests. Macarons, biscotti & even a classic chocolate chip cookie would be a more simplified version of this thought you may consider. Learn how to make this adorable idea for your Easter Sunday lunch.

How To Create Easter Egg Cookie Place Settings
Creating a lovely place setting is such a fine way to celebrate Easter lunch, however they need not be opulent nor complex. A few pieces of newly polished heirloom silver & a pressed napkin are all that is needed to create this effortless look. Use what you have in your linen collection & if it’s colorful, all the better to highlight the season. Just know, there is no right or wrong way to set a beautiful table so let go of past notions & let the food you will serving guide you. In most instances, a dinner fork, knife, napkin, plate & glass will suffice.
The Technique
When you purchase a standard napkin, the fold is generally formed so that it may be opened from the side. When placing a napkin on the center of a plate as illustrated in this particular photo, I prefer to center it as well meaning the napkin will open upwards. A quick refolding is all that is needed to change the direction that may be set in place by pressing with a hot iron.
When a seasonal batch of cookies has been crafted, they may be slipped into cellophane bags & tied with ribbon, simple supplies that may be purchased from super centers. Add a tag, if desired, with monograms of each family guest for a personal touch.
