Whether your family prefers cool, creamy pies, tarts, pudding or cake with ice cream, a simple garnish gives them just the right finishing touch. We look to fresh fruit slices, berries & even herbs to adorn those seasonal classics so it naturally seems fitting to use chocolate curls for many traditional homemade specialties as they may be prepared quickly for an instant garnish. How To Make Chocolate Curls
Chocolate curls are effortless to make & there are many ways to achieve them. Use them over Triple Chocolate Cheesecake Bars or Chocolate Mousse for the perfect look. Follow these pointers for success in your own kitchen.
The Technique
Using a vegetable peeler, hold the edge of a milk chocolate candy bar wearing disposable gloves over a cutting board. This will prevent fingerprints from transferring to the chocolate for a neater appearance. Swipe the peeler over the surface until the desired amount has been collected. The chocolate will be delicate so use a wooden pick to place over desserts.
