Flavored butters are an ideal way to highlight offerings from the bread basket. Bourbon-Pecan Honey Butter Mash is a delightful blend that pairs well on breakfast specialties such as waffles, pancakes, Buttermilk Biscuits or classic main meal favorites including Cloverleaf Rolls & Brioche Rolls. The good news is that it can be prepared quickly & made up to severals days ahead of time. Look for my pointers & make a batch to serve with holiday meals.
Bourbon-Pecan Honey Butter Mash
makes about 1 cup
The intense butter is filled with good taste. Expect a more homogenous mixture straight from the refrigerator. As the mixture stands at room temperature, stir the butter occasionally for a more consistent texture.
1/2 cup softened butter
1/3 cup chopped, toasted pecans
2 Tbsp honey, divided
1 Tbsp bourbon
Combine the butter, the pecans, 1 tablespoon honey & the bourbon in a small bowl. Transfer to a serving bowl & drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon honey. Spread the butter between the split biscuits. Make up to 2 days ahead, if desired. Let stand 30 minutes for a more soft, spreadable butter.
