How To Season Recipes With Peppercorns
Once a peppermill has been chosen, put it into action & learn how to season a variety of foods properly. The size of the grain will allow maximum flavor & texture to be enjoyed in a number of your favorite recipes from holiday roasts to Italian classics such as Spaghetti With Classic Bolognese & Zuppa Toscana. Here’s what you should know.
The Technique
Invest in a good mill specifically designed to grind the peppercorns in a variety of sizes. The smaller setting delivers a fine misting of spice to flavor softer textured foods including mashed potatoes, grits & rice. Use the larger setting to highly season large cuts of meat from beef tenderloin to roasted turkey. The grains will impart bold notes over the surface & carry the flavor throughout the portions once sliced for serving.
