How To Cook Spaghetti

Cooking spaghetti noodles is a relatively straight forward process. Be mindful that they will continue to expand while hot. Pasta can be cooked, cooled & flash warmed in boiling water to make mealtime even more simple at a moments notice. Take care of these tasks on Sunday to make weekday dinners fast. Immediately rinse the hot cooked pasta under cold water to stop the cooking process which will preserve the shape & texture. Toss them in a little oil to keep it separated– although the sauces will not cling as effectively once rewarmed, the trade off is being able to offer a home cooked meal quickly to your family during the busy week. Chill the noodles & use as desired with in a few days.

1 tsp kosher salt
1 {16-oz} package spaghetti noodles

Fill a stock pot or Dutch oven with the water & stir in the salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil over High heat. Add the spaghetti noodles.
