How To Store & Garnish with Fresh Raspberries
Raspberries are an invasive plant if left unattended to in the garden & one that may be propagated, if desired. However, a quick trip to your local market will keep you well stocked with this beautiful fruit when growing your own may not be an option.
The Technique
Raspberries are a delicate fruit & should remain in the original package until ready for use. Keep them as dry as possible. Place a small piece of a paper towel between the raspberries & the container top to absorb any excessive moisture, if necessary. Rinse the raspberries under cool running water just before using them. Gently pat them dry with paper towels. Place them over tarts, cakes & desserts just before serving.
