 Remove the Gruyère cheese from the refrigerator. Let stand 10 minutes. Firmly hold the handle of a box grater over a cutting board. Swipe the cheese firmly across the large holes in a downward motion. Lift the grater, collect the cheese & portion it in dry cups for an accurate measurement. Use as directed in specific recipe applications.
