If you fast break for pasta tossed in Tomato-Basil Cream Sauce, you’ll love the flavor of this dip. Mini basketballs hold court in the creamy dip that will be long gone before the half.

1/2 {16-oz} package hot breakfast sausage
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 {8-oz} package cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp whipping cream
2 scallions, sliced
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 1/2 cups marinara or chunky-style pasta sauce, divided
1 {8-oz} package shredded Italian cheese blend, divided
Garnishes: Red pepper flakes & freshly ground pepper
Crostini toasts & sliced soft bread sticks

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the sausage & the breadcrumbs in a medium bowl.
Portion into 23 meatballs using a 2 teaspoon-size cookie scoop. Roll into balls.

Brush an 8-inch cast iron skillet with vegetable oil.
Brown the meatballs over Medium heat 5 minutes or until no longer pink.
Remove from the skillet along with the grease & swipe the pan with a paper towel.

Stir together the cream cheese, the cream, the scallions, the garlic, the basil
& the crushed red pepper in a bowl. Stir in 1 cup marinara sauce until smooth.
Fold in the warm meatballs. Stir in 1 cup Italian cheese blend.

Spread the remaining 1/2 cup marinara sauce in the bottom of the skillet.
Top with the meatball mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup Italian cheese blend.

Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly. Broil 1 to 2 minutes or until browned, if desired. 
Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes & freshly ground pepper.
Serve with crostini toasts & warm, sliced bread sticks.

High Top Sneaker Bunting

Draw a 5 to 6-inch sneaker shape onto white card stock & cut with scissors.
Once you have the first sneaker, use it as a template for a similar sized shoes.
Trace & cut additional shapes. An odd number always looks great.

Pierce 16 holes along the base of each shoe using a tiny-sized punch.
Pierce 10 holes on the opposite side to resemble a spot for laces. 

Thread the sneakers by weaving twine through the holes.
Secure the ends on the backside with tape.
For a shadow effect, cut an additional shape in a contrasting color.
Stagger the two pieces & secure with tape. 

Cut swoosh-ish designs from a contrasting color of craft paper.
Attach to the sneakers with tape.

Pierce two holes at the top of the shoes & thread together with twine.
Shazam! Weave throughout your snack table for the win.
