Welcome! I’ve been expecting you…

RKG-Caricature-Original

It’s the little things in life that count most. I believe the ordinary days are the most beautiful.

I want you to drop by unannounced whenever you’d like as good friends often do. I’m here to share with you all of the things I’m so deeply passionate about like the recipes that make you want to go back for 3rd and 4th helpings, simple ways for hosting beautiful gatherings to honor friends and family plus fun ideas to celebrate game day Saturday’s like no-one else.

I want to know your interests… your favorite recipe to share with friends when entertaining. How are you planning meals for busy weeknights? What does your son request when it’s his birthday & how do you prepare it? What cooking techniques give you trouble in the kitchen? Is there a procedure I can help guide you through so that success can be achieved each time you prepare it?

I’m here to share over 20 years of cooking knowledge stemming from a background in corporate publishing in a professional test kitchen setting designed with you in mind, the home cook. I’ve worked along side some of the most notable chefs from the South including my very own grandmother and mother and I’m here to offer you my expertise, pointers & advice.

In the meantime, I hope you will drop by daily for recipes and topics relevant for the moment. It may be a traditional cooking technique for a Saturday morning breakfast specialty or a classic southern layer cake as I cook & entertain just as you do.

By the way, with each feature you will find a lovely tune to listen to that further enhances the specific topic so please do, enjoy!

“Come What May” Etta James

Be sweet.
