3/4 cup butter
7 ounces bittersweet chocolate morsels {about 1 cup}
1 2/3 cup sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla
A pinch of kosher salt
3 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup buttermilk

Line a lightly greased 9-inch baking pan with parchment paper allowing 2 inches to extend over the sides. Coat the pan with cooking spray. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Microwave the butter & the chocolate in a large glass bowl on High power 1 minute. Whisk the mixture until smooth. Whisk in the sugar, the vanilla & the salt, then blend in the eggs just until combined. Add the flour the cocoa powder & the buttermilk. Whisk the mixture until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Using a small offset spatula, smooth the surface. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until set. A wooden pick should hold a few moist crumbs when inserted in the center. Cool completely, about 2 hours. Lift the brownies from the pan & transfer to a cutting board. Slice into squares. Store in an air tight container up to 3 days or freeze up to one month.
