Oven Rice

Browned Butter Beef Oven Rice
make 6 servings
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup long grain white rice
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 1/2 cups beef stock
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a 3-quart saucepan over Medium heat. Add the rice, the salt & the pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 to 2 minutes or until the rice smells fragrant. Transfer the rice mixture to a lightly greased 11 x 7-inch baking. Place onto a half sheet pan. Stir in the beef stock. Bake 1 hour or until the liquid as absorbed & the rice fluffs with a fork. A crust will form over the surface. Remove the rice from the oven. Serve with Classic Beef Pot Roast or Eye Of Round Beef Roast.
