Since this particular beef cut is ideal for use in many flavorful pot roast recipes, it’s important that any excessive fat is trimmed away ahead of time. A freshly sharpened boning or non-serrated utility knife may be used in order to complete the task, if necessary. Next, you’ll want to be certain to season & sear the beef in a smattering of oil on the stovetop for a few minutes on each side. This will lock in juices & good flavor as it cooks. The beef chuck roast will then be ready for a braising cooking procedure.
