makes 10 servings

1 {16-oz} box corkscrew pasta
1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
1/3 cup fresh parsley leaves
4 scallions, sliced
the juice of a lemon
2 small garlic cloves, pressed
3 Tbsp whole buttermilk
2 tsp anchovy paste
8 bacon slices, cooked & cut into thirds
1/3 cup coarsely chopped parsley leaves
kosher salt & freshly ground pepper

Cook the pasta according to package directions.
Drain & run under cold water until cool.

Pulse the mayonnaise, the basil, 1/3 cup parsley leaves, the scallions, the lemon juice,
the garlic cloves, the buttermilk & the anchovy paste in a food processor
for about 1 minute or until thoroughly blended.

Season generously w/ kosher salt & pepper to taste.
Toss with the cooked pasta. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
