College Playoff Tournament

The Court Jester

My first college hoops game experience was with my brother in the eighties. Gene Bartow had been brought in to start an athletic program for UAB after much coaching success at other universities from across the country. He served as the first head basketball coach among other things & let me tell you, they were pretty good. The fans of the new program were excited too. Some even a little rowdy. There was this man, maybe in his late forties, sitting right behind us…”Wake up & smell the coffee!” He was slumped down low in the chair, right elbow propped up on the seat rest. His face rest comfortably in the L of his index finger & thumb. My brother & I slowly turned our heads toward one another until our eyes met & popped wide open. I pressed my lips inward, tightly together. They began to slowly turn upward. My rib cage began shaking uncontrollably up & down. We honestly thought this man had lost his mind.

Liven up your basketball party with a swish-worthy snack blend. Zesty Courtside Crunch Mix sports serious game with pretzel stick goal posts, soda cracker backboards & cereal that resembles shooter’s squares with a zippy taste that really gets your party heating up. A few extra crunchy picks, sweet onion hoops & crisp cheddar basketballs make a lay up for the buzzer beater win.
