Rebecca Gordon has 13 years of knowledge for the Time Inc brand Southern Living, having traveled the South as a presenter of recipe demos with the advertising-based Cooking School program and working in the kitchens on the editorial side, most recently serving as Test Kitchen Director. She managed the daily operations which included recipe testing and development, food styling, developing and writing content for the magazine and southernliving.com, led taste testings prompting reader focused discussion with the food staff, and managed food photography logistics. She represented the brand on an array of media platforms including television, web videos, books, marketing events, radio, and print & web interviews. She currently serves as a Contributing Editor. Rebecca Gordon is also a member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, an organization that studies and celebrates the South’s rich food culture and history.
Rebecca Gordon shares 30-minute recipes & great party ideas in The Half-Hour Hostess and is the spokesperson for the best seller The Official SEC Tailgating Cookbook, published by Oxmoor House. She spearheaded collaboration and content development for each of the Southeastern Conference schools in recipe selection and development. She served as a liaison between the brand and the SEC and was the first reporter to cover SEC Media Days from a lifestyle angle interviewing several coaches including Nick Saban. She also produced brand driven content & co-hosted, Southern Living’s Tailgate Playbook, in 2012 on Great American Country channel with Nan Kelley.
